Ofunmuyiwa (Iyasin)
“ She is Living in Her Storage Unit. We have to help her ”
To whom it may concern,
Why am I sitting here on this beautiful warm and bright Sunday writing an assessment which inherently saddens me. Every keystroke is heavy with pain. Why has it come to this? Is the TRUTH that hard to utter? Is accountability for past misdeeds so hard to shoulder? It seems so.
I, as many others have given and showed Ofunmuyiwa love and compassion in the past. This I suspect will continue as time goes on. Ofunmuyiwa was also given the title of (Iyasin) , a title given to her out of respect. Duly given in my humble opinion.
In reality a willful disregard of family welfare, structure, rules and institutional ethics is the true reason for the current situation.
I have asked that verbal and emotional attacks on individuals be "abandoned"
I have demanded that that all notions of ownership of others "intellectual property” tangible and intangible be “abandoned”
The Family has never “abandoned” her.
This is not new and is not an isolated event. The phrase "using a 'broken wing' to keep from being accountable for one's actions" refers to a manipulative tactic of feigning helplessness, vulnerability, or a personal crisis to avoid responsibility, to gain sympathy, or control a situation. This behavior is sometimes referred to as "Immunity via Incapacity" in psychology. (Google search P. 1-2)
This tactic is used to:
Evade consequences by declaring oneself structurally "incapacitated" by illness, trauma, or general incompetence, thus gaining an exemption from social "tax" or judgment.
Shift the focus from their actions to their perceived suffering, making others feel guilty for expecting accountability.
Elicit a "savior complex" in others, attracting people who feel compelled to rescue those they perceive as "wounded". The person with the "broken wing" becomes an "emotional fixer-upper," and their bad behavior is often tolerated because it's attributed to their "wounds". (Google search page. 1) (National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Although the current situation saddens me and my family I will and can not allow
Poison into our household. Furthermore this current situation is exacerbated by valuing material things”stuff” over the people who care for you.
This is illustrated by the fact that Ofunmuyiwa left a person and place in Florida that cared for her. For What? to be reunited with her “stuff”
So how do we help her? Do I have any solutions? With the situational knowledge I possess, Ofunmuyiwa must first realize there is a problem, then she must be held to account. I have for years tried to help Ofunmuyiwa in my limited capacity to no avail. I have informed her friends and family of my assessment and findings, and now demand the following:
1. Ofunmuyiwa seeks professional psychological assistance.
2. Ofunmuyiwa (Iyasin) tells the TRUTH
3. Ofunmuyiwa takes accountability for any and all of her actions that led up to the current situation. These three steps I feel will be beneficial in achieving a favorable outcome.
I truly do love her and pray that our ancestors guide her through her journey.
Due to past traumas of my own, I can not assist in her rehabilitation and healing at this time.
I pray for the best for all. and invite any persons wanting a concise and thorough report to contact me personally.
I will be more than willing to oblige.
